Thank You

Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

Melody Beattie

Thank you…. two very simple words that we easily take for granted.  How often do we say them without really thinking about what we are saying thank you for?  How often is it just a reflexive term that we use.  Are we really thinking about what we are grateful for when we use these two little words?

Having a gratitude practice is considered to be the number one contributing factor to how happy we are.  This would be a practice of acknowledging daily things that we are genuinely grateful for, from having opened our eyes that morning, to the sun having risen, to the kids being healthy, to having a stable job and income.  There is no shortage of things to be grateful for; and its when we focus deliberately and consciously on this that we start to reprogram our minds into a more positive mindset.

We all have hardships; but when we are practicing gratitude these hardships always pale in comparison to the many miracle that happen in our lives everyday.
